Is This What I Would See?

There is a little park not far from where I live. It has only two picnic tables beside a mountain creek. The early morning light illuminated these two baby honeysuckle vines reaching up to the sky. In another day or so, they will be too long to grow up and return to earth.

I created this image “Intertwined Vines” as a meditation about how I want to see the world: a place of the natural order: union and harmony; IF that is what I want. It symbolizes a choice that is always available to me but seems so simple I often overlook it, or don’t want it.

“Is this what I would see? Do I want this?”

“This is your one decision; this the condition for what occurs. It is irrelevant to how it happens, but not to why. You have control of this. And if you choose to see a world without an enemy, in which you are not helpless, the means to see it will be given you.” ACIM-T-21.VII.9:1-4
